question
edit@Didym Why was Joey Higgins added to the Flickr blacklist? It appears to be a legitimate account, and some of the photos arent even from Facebook or Instagram. Again, it just confuses me. the "copyright violations from Facebook" doesnt make that much sense to me. Thanks. TzarN64 (talk) 22:00, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe not all photos are from Facebook or Instagram, but at least some are. Uploading files in small resolution with missing metadata, only days before transferring them to Commons, is usually a sign of Flickrwashing. --Didym (talk) 22:09, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- But it's not. I usually go on flickr to see and find free photos to upload on Commons. Concerning the "small resolution", and missing metadata, you could just hide your EXIF data and there are files in his collection like this image of Young Thug which are 1640 x 2049 It has been confirmed by flickr themselves that they do, infact compress images. Just saying though. I don't believe this flickr account is an act of an impersonator. TzarN64 (talk) 01:13, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
